I just concluded a tour of the tech scene in London and it was interesting to find that the central theme from most of the outings was Artificial Intelligence. It is quite obvious that AI is the direction things are going in the world with many sectors of industry already feeling the impact of AI.
Health, Banking, Marketing, Manufacturing and you name it! Artificial Intelligence is taking over.

My first stop was at Natwest Bank, Bishopsgate London for a meetup about their AI conversational banking tool, CORA. This tool was particularly helpful during Covid and gained major adoption by Natwest customers during this period.
My next stop was at the University College London, for the UCL – Imperial – LSE Startup day. Conversations here also centered around Artificial Intelligence and the future of work. I also visited the Microsoft Reactor London to attend their open source day.
I took a break during the week to catch up on some work and worked out of The Bureau at the Design Destrict in North Greenwich.
Last but not the least was pyData london, which was hosted by Nomura Group at 1 Angel London. The sprawling offices, shared by mastercard, was an impressive backdrop for an event that featured talks about Data Visualizations and experiences with Data analysis during the pandemic.
After an engaging week of deliberations and exchanging notes, it was time to say goodbye to London for a bit. See you again in the summer!
